Guaranteed Resumes...
these resume services offer a guaranteed
interview

If you're considering tapping a professional resume writer to handle your resume, you're likely comparing
costs, investigating the credentials of the writers, and looking over samples posted on their
websites. Don't forget to factor in the resume guarantee.
What? Resumes come with a guarantee? Well, not every resume comes with a guarantee. It's the
prerogative of the resume writing service as to whether or not to offer one, and if so, how strong to make that
resume guarantee. If one is offered, it will likely take one of the following three forms...
1 - The "Satisfaction Guarantee"
Not a bad deal, certainly better than no guarantee. And while it would seem at first glance that you couldn't go
wrong with a satisfaction guarantee (after all, you'll be "satisfied," won't you?), there's a flaw in this
guarantee big enough to drive a truck through. Here's the problem: most job seekers, who have little to no
experience with resumes (or they wouldn't be employing a writing service) are forced to judge the product they're
presented with, and to sign off on this product before putting it to the test. Most resume services will crank out
a product that is measurably better than the job seeker could produce. But that doesn't necessarily mean it's a resume that will land
interviews -- which is the sole purpose of a resume. There's some pretty stiff competition out there in the
jobs marketplace.
Your resume may end up looking quite nice and you might be genuinely happy with it. But a pretty-looking resume
isn't necessarily an effective resume. If you want to be guaranteed that your new resume will be
effective, you need to insist on the following resume guarantee...
2 - The "Results Guarantee" or the "Guaranteed Interview"
In the world of resume writing, "results" mean interviews. That's the measure of success for any resume -- that
it generates phone calls that lead to interviews. A resume writing service that guarantees results (or guarantees
interviews) is basically offering to re-write the resume if it doesn't generate one or more interviews after a set
amount of time, say 30 or 60 days. It's a pretty big gesture, one that demonstrates to the prospective client that
the company is confident in the workmanship of their product, and willing to stand behind that workmanship.
The third and final form of resume guarantee is the...
3 - "Money-Back Guarantee"
This is a derivative of the "guaranteed interview" mentioned above, with the added bonus of getting money back
if the resume doesn't produce at least one interview in the allotted time. Note: This is rare animal. In fact,
we've only reviewed one major online company that offers a full 100% money-back guarantee.
